Amazing Marg's! My favorite is the spicy pepper! And the carnitas tacos! Also Katie the bartender is the sweetest and just the general vibe is always great here with a few friends seated at the bar!
My now fiancé and I got engaged and had a lunch here in the back space. Tne food was incredible everyone is still talking about it and so we came back to have dinner just me and him. The chef Will and our server Riley were the real stars of the show ! This is def a staple for our families! We plan to be regulars. I hope they never change!
Perfect spot for happy hour and amazing tacos. The drinks are delicious and so pretty. Great service.
I went here because I want a bite and a drink. I sat at the bar. I ordered drinks, Guac & chips and quesadillas. The drinks were fine. The quesadilla came out looking like tacos so I was puzzled. When I asked about it, they said that it's the authentic Mexican quesadillas. The ones we are used to are more the American style quesadillas. It was fine but I learned something new. The place is much bigger inside than it appears from outside. There's a nice back area which I plan to see the next time I go, and order more of an entree
Went to Verde for a cocktail. Had a few and some appetizers. Glad we went because the dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen were amazing. Looking forward to going back to try them ourselves.
I'm giving 5 stars for the entree I ordered this evening. PESCADO MOJO DE AJO* their rotating local fish, this evening was fluke. YUM!! Fluffy rice, sautéed H.O.G. Farm seasonal veggies was delicious!! I would come back just for this meal! Note: it is much cooler to sit in the greenhouse if you want to chat w your diners... a/c is much cooler too! The live plants are nice to look at! The indoor seating is great too. Thank you Emma, her first day as a server and she did great! I have been here once a very long time ago... this entree I had will bring me back!
Hostess was super friendly & we were grateful for her clueing us in that we needn't worry about getting a parking ticket due to all the broken pay stations out back-it was pouring & after running to 2 broken stations close to the restaurant we just did the best we could! Whew for no ticket! The food was good, but we had that weird vibe from several different people trying to take away our plates while I (aka our slowest eater) was still sharing food with the other person at the table. Definitely rushed an otherwise good meal! Also, heads up-they probably wouldn't charge if you want ketchup for your fries, but charged extra when we asked for something to dip the plantains in. They were good but dipped in the spicy aioli they were even better! Not a big deal, but our first experience with that.
Fabulous Bayshore Gem In town for our annual trip to Fire Island, my girlfriends and I missed our planned ferry and opted to grab a drink and a nosh while waiting for the next departure time. Verde did not disappoint. The enclosed restaurant patio/greenhouse (with air conditioning!) is a lovely place to savor a great flavored margarita and some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long while. Service was friendly, fast and attentive. We sampled five of the flavored margaritas and the blueberry and lavender were particularly scrumptious. Fish dishes are incredibly fresh and flavorful. You won't regret stopping here!.
Met up with a friend at Verde for Cinco de Mayo. It was slightly busy but to our surprise we were seated quickly in the back area decorated with all kinds of plants. We ordered from their specials menu and it did not disappoint. The margaritas were good and perfectly balanced, chips were tasty with just the right amount of salt and our apps/entrees was also tasty. I like spicy, so I could have used some heat on my brisket burrito by overall it was yummy. To top it off, the Tres Leche cake for dessert was a nice treat. Nice experience and look forward to returning in the future.
Cute place! We came to celebrate Cinco de Mayo- were a party of 6 with reservations. We did have to wait about a half hour for our table, but it was worth it. We sat in the garden greenhouse in the back- so pretty. I ordered the pineapple coconut margarita- so good! We ordered chips & guac to share. For my entree I ordered Enchilada Suiza. It was really good. While I wasn't impressed with their dessert menu, I ordered the French Press coffee, which was delish. Wish I could remember my server's name. She was great, checking in frequently, even though it was so busy. Highly recommend!
